Originally designed as mobile shelter for shepherds guarding flocks and nursing sick lambs on cold nights, traditional shepherd huts were a crucial part of Britain’s agricultural history. Back in those days, your average Shepherds Hut was usually a rather basic affair- Without any insulation, the thin walls were usually just enough to ward off the wind and rain and although wood burning stoves were fairly common, comfy beds were less so!

Hand built to our high specifications, our huts all come with full insulation in the walls, ceiling and floor and double glazing making them cosy all year round.
