Everything you need
You will be have a choice of using your own bicycle or hiring one (this will be included into the package price) We recommend a hybrid rather than a mountain bike as the trail leads mostly through quiet country lanes with a small amount of off-road on the first day and mostly a well maintained gravel track on the next day. You'll be provided with a trail map which breaks the route down into easy step by step directions and contains some interesting facts about the attractions and villages you'll pass en route. We'll also provide a full OS road map which should be an ideal backup if you do get lost! We'll book your accommodation ahead and also sort out your kit collection and transfer so all you need to is jump on your bicycle and enjoy!

An exciting tailored route
The ride from Deepdale to Top Farm is roughly 36 miles, through a gorgeous scenic route. It is a rewarding route with a handful of short challenging uphill stretches but is mostly downhill and with very little traffic so you can really pick up some speed! The route from Top Farm to Whitlingham Broad Campsite is 29 miles and runs mostly through the Marriott's Way trail which was once a railway line so it's pretty flat throughout but has some fantastic sights and plenty of quirky, artistic landmarks. Each days cycling will probably take about 6 to 7 hours at a leisurely pace, allowing a couple of hours to break for lunch or to stop and enjoy the scenery.
Peace of mind
We also offer an 'SOS' rescue call package- if you get tired, lost** or simply decide to spend the whole day at a good pub or attraction along the way, just call us and we'll swing by and drive you the rest of the way- This service costs just £30 per call out but is totally optional so you only need to use it if you really have to***. No use, no charge!
*If our Shepherds hut is already booked out, there are other glamping alternatives available. *One child free per paying adult.
**If you are lost but want to persevere, call us any time for directions- This is free! We are happy to come and pick up anyone who is horribly lost along the trail (But it is quite easy to navigate so it's not likely you'll need this).
**We are unable to respond to SOS calls for medical emergencies.
