After our second and busiest year yet, we're just about ready to put down our tools for the Christmas break. Since our beginnings in the early 2013 in a small garden office, our team has doubled in size, produced dozens of Shepherds Huts and Timberpads. This year, we continued to grow, with an order book stretching half way through next year! This has given us a lot of freedom to improve and evolve our Shepherds huts design and focus on creating something that combines an authentic, vintage appeal with the highest quality construction, whilst adding a few innovations of our own! This year, we improved on the design of the Shepherds Hut with our very own Wild Rover hut. |
Even on a traditional turning axle, most modern huts aren't easy to move- This is because they are often much more sturdily built and as such are heavier than the historic examples, due to the addition of insulation, modern joinery, furniture, decorations and so on. Most static huts are fine on a fixed axle, but for those who want to regularly move their hut, we developed a hut on a road towable Ifor Williams Trailer. These huts are practically identical to our classic huts in every other respect, but allow an extra dimension of practicality, making them a popular with businesses or attractions who are looking for a flexible space to use for events. Available in any layout, these huts have really taken off! |
To continue on our path to improve the Shepherds Hut, we will be launching our new Poachers Hut in 2015. This is in response to enquiries for fully inclusive huts which feature kitchen and bathroom facilities. Having researched a number of similar huts which contain these features, we realised the importance of maintaining the balance of having the mod-cons, whilst keeping the hut roomy enough so that it doesn't become "caravanny" inside! That's why our upcoming hut will feel as spacious as our standard huts, whilst offering 5-star comforts. |
