At The English Shepherds Hut Company, we believe our huts should be enjoyed by everyone. If you are a holiday business we can offer a flexible range of options in order to make your hut a reality, without having to pay the full capital cost of a Shepherd's Hut up front.

Rental for Campsites, Wedding Venues or Holiday Businesses

For holiday businesses wishing to expand their accommodation without making a significant capital investment, we offer a simple rental share starting from as little as £300 per month, to be paid either monthly or quarterly. We offer:
  • The Classic Option at £300 per month: A 16ft Shepherds Hut to sleep up to four (in a choice of double, single or bunk beds), a wood burning stove, solar powered lights and USB phone chargers (With option for mains electricity if hookup available). This is a fast, simple way of introducing glamping to your location and simply requires a hard, level area for the hut to sit.
  • The Poachers option at £400 per month: An 18ft couples Shepherds Hut including a private bed chamber, wood burning stove, fitted kitchen and en-suite toilet and shower. An all inclusive option with all home comforts! This option does require the prior installation of water, waste and electricity facilities, but should generate significantly more revenue than a standard hut.
What we look for:
  • An established Campsite, Holiday Destination or Bed & Breakfast with a track record of high occupancy & returning guests.
  • For our Classic option, good quality private or shared kitchen, toilet and shower facilities available.
  • For our Poachers option, you will need to install water supply, drainage and electricity prior to the hut being delivered. We can perform site surveys to assist with this.
  • If you require planning permission (For example, if you are changing the use of the land to make it into a camp site) we can advise or even contact your local authority on your behalf.
Likely Returns:

Every camp site and holiday business is different, so you'll have to run the figures when deciding whether or not our huts will work for you. As an example based on some other sites we work with, booking out a hut for only 120 nights per year at an average fee of £80 per night, would get a return of £9,600. So with an annual rental of just £3,600 (£300 a month for a standard hut), that's considerable £6,000 turnover from a single, standard hut. 

If purchased outright (A standard "glamp-worthy" hut may cost about £18,500), your hut may pay for itself within 2 years.

We've worked with camp sites which have been running for decades, and with start-up sites opening for through their first season. With the UK's glamping industry growing year by year, new and up-and-coming campsites are now able to join this market and reap the benefits with minimal risk and a significantly smaller up-front capital investment.

Terms & Conditions:
  • Due to insurance issues, Rental Share is allowed only on campsites or locations which are manned 24/7. Host Sites may be subject to an independent risk assessment. 
  • The rental share agreement is subject to a minimum 2 year contract.
  • To confirm participation in the Rental Share, a security deposit equivalent to 3 months rent will be taken and held by The English Shepherds Hut Co. for the duration of the contract.
  • In the case of deliveries exceeding a total price of £500, this cost may be split evenly between the Host Site and The English Shepherds Hut Co.
  • Upon delivery of the Shepherds Hut(s), payments will be taken quarterly, at the beginning of each quarter. For huts delivered within a quarter, payment will be pro-rated accordingly.
  • We will always aim to get your hut installed in good time for the start of the holiday season. However, due to the growing number of private orders for our Shepherd Huts which take priority in the workshop, we recommend placing your enquiries in advance of the next season so that we can plan ahead and guarantee a set delivery.
  • We have a limited number of new huts which we allocate to selected sites on the rental share scheme.
