It's here! After a whole year of waiting, the Royal Norfolk Show is back in all it's glory. Held at The Norfolk Showground, this huge 2 day event attracts over one hundred thousand visitors every year and hosts a range of events, stands and attractions.
This year we are going to be exhibiting with our newest Wild Rover Shepherds Hut. With it's towable Ifor Williams Trailer, delivery was much quicker than last year!
Guests at the event will be welcome to look inside, relax and feel the quality of our huts. We'll also be breaking out the Pimms and barbeque once the sun goes down, so free free to join us then as well!
Like last year, we've supplied the events coordinator Sonia Bell and her team with a traditional, etal-wheeled Shepherds Hut as an events office- So we can show you both types!
After an intense week at the workshop with the full team, we're all chuffed for the completion of our latest Wild Rover! Finished in time for the Royal Norfolk Show, this is our unique, mobile Shepherds Hut which was built on a suspended, towable Ifor Williams chassis, but with our classic Shepherds Hut on top.
But what does the inside look like? If you want to see our first reveal to the public then come along to the show where we'll be exhibiting the Wild Rover. We'll even be pouring Pimms from 2 0'clock in the afternoon and whipping out the acoustic guitar after sunset so come along and join us!
We'll be demonstrating our Shepherds Huts at the Royal Norfolk Show this year with the Wild Rover and one of our more traditional styles on show, so look out for us and get your tickets here! http://royalnorfolkshow.co.uk/the-show/buy-tickets
Another fond farewell this morning to an as-of-yet unnamed hut which will be making its way to The Missing Sock in Cambridge, an ethical restaurant and venue. This is our popular Retreat model Shepherds Hut with double glazed French doors, with two windows and a natural larch feather edge finish. It also features our classic curved roof, full insulation and a wood burning stove.
It looks a little empty at the moment, but with a few cushions on the day beds, a couple of nice paintings on the wall and the stove lit, this hut will be a warm and inviting space! The finish is our classic white t&g panelling up to a dado rail, painted above in our own Norfolk Cream. We've also provided these rather fetching vintage style wall lamps, reminiscent of the gas lamps of the Victorian Era. However, they contain energy saving LED bulbs (which can't be seen through the authentic bubbled glass of the lamp), powered by discreet solar panels. The hut also features full 16 amp wiring so that it may be hooked up to mains electricity at any point.
Note the position of the windows and built in beds- this is all custom built for the client and their location. If you'd like a hut like this, or something completely different which is purpose built for you then get in touch!
It's a fond farewell to Emily and Charlotte, two luxury glamping Retreat huts, as they get delivered to their new home at Wedding and Wellies in Yorkshire, a wedding venue with a outdoor theme!
As it had been a slightly wet week, we had to be a little inventive with the delivery, as the high ab lifter wouldn't have been able to negotiate the muddy field- But what are we if not adaptable!
After offloading the huts in the village, we utilized a tractor and trailer to finish the job and now our two huts are in pride of place- what a view!
Chief Combobulator Wong. While the rest of the team gallivant and build Shepherds Huts, I sit here and combobulate.
