![]() After an intense week at the workshop with the full team, we're all chuffed for the completion of our latest Wild Rover! Finished in time for the Royal Norfolk Show, this is our unique, mobile Shepherds Hut which was built on a suspended, towable Ifor Williams chassis, but with our classic Shepherds Hut on top. But what does the inside look like? If you want to see our first reveal to the public then come along to the show where we'll be exhibiting the Wild Rover. We'll even be pouring Pimms from 2 0'clock in the afternoon and whipping out the acoustic guitar after sunset so come along and join us!
It's a fond farewell to Emily and Charlotte, two luxury glamping Retreat huts, as they get delivered to their new home at Wedding and Wellies in Yorkshire, a wedding venue with a outdoor theme!
As it had been a slightly wet week, we had to be a little inventive with the delivery, as the high ab lifter wouldn't have been able to negotiate the muddy field- But what are we if not adaptable!
After offloading the huts in the village, we utilized a tractor and trailer to finish the job and now our two huts are in pride of place- what a view! We're delighted to have another article about our Shepherds Huts in the EDP this morning, this time in the Business Section! With thanks to Stephen Pullinger, who interviewed Craig about his Glampaign, which is in full swing in 2014. The article mentions how our recent success, including building a shepherds hut for Elizabeth Hurley, and the Glampaign, where we select campsites to provide a free shepherds hut for glamping, have caused a boom in business, meaning that we have the opportunity to expand!
With this view, we will be on the lookout for a new premises soon, with the possibility of a few new faces joining our team as well! We've tooted our own trumpet to oblivion. If you own a campsite and would like a free shepherds hut for glamping holidays, find the details here and get in touch! We’re delighted to be showcasing one of our brand new Shepherds Huts at Wroxham Barns for the second year running! It hardly feels like a year since we were sat in our Retreat model hut, Lola, with the stove crackling and doors wide open for visitors to come in and warm themselves. Today we delivered Betty, our most recent hut from our 2014 Glamping range to stand in pride of place in the courtyard as our next showroom. She features a side stable door and end windows with our new chunky timber shutters, a solid oak floor and a wood burning stove- come see her now!
Yesterday, our first new Shepherds Hut of 2014 left the workshop and arrived at Whitlingham Broad Campsite, much to the delight of Linda and Fergus who run the awesome family campsite near Norwich. Our 2014 Shepherds hut range is (if we say so ourselves!) our best yet- 15 feet long with natural timber cladding, wood burning stoves, sheep’s wool insulation, solar panels and lighting, natural oak flooring- The lot! We’ve also sorted out these quirky rustic shutters- Incidentally, if you’ve got any old spoons cluttering up your house, send them to us! The same goes for mounted deers heads, bearskin rugs, vintage lampshades….. Not only are these shepherds huts for sale, but you can also get in touch forShepherds Hut Rental on campsites if you own a camp site and would like to host of one these lovely spaces without having to invest in buying it outright!
We’re currently in talks with a number of campsites with primes such asSwattesfield Camping in Suffolk poised to receive one of our Shepherds Huts before the camping season starts- If you get in touch now, we could even have yours ready by the Spring! We are also in partnership with Love Glamping in our “Glampaign”- our mission to get our Shepherds huts out to prime campsites in East Anglia at no cost to the camp site owner! Any sites who host our Shepherds hut from now until April 2014 will receive a 20% discounted introductory offer on their first years listing! It’s rare we meet someone who so completely shares our ethos for creating a calm and inspiring space. Enter SoulPad, a Norfolk based provider of luxury Bell Tents and campfire accessories. With their motto “stylish cotton tipis and bell tents that are kind to your soul”, these are some seriously cool people to work with! We got in touch with them just days before the Royal Norfolk Show as our plan to co-exhibit with Linda from Whitlingham Broad Campsite were almost scarpered by the fact that the stylish bell tents at Whitlingham Broad, provided by SoulPad , which was going to be paired with our Shepherds hut on our display, were simply too big for the size of our pitch. Luckily, SoulPad stock a handy 3 metre bell tent in both a traditional canvas and anultra-lite polycotton version which they kindly lent us and thus saved the day! How many times has your bell tent provider saved the day?! They also found the time to leap to the rescue despite being in the middle of providing over 50 bell tents for VIP accommodation at The Glastonbury Festival. Enough said!
We’re going to be exhibiting from their bell tent again at the Holkham Hall Country Fair on the 17th-18th July (Our show-hut Little Nancy has now found a home at The Hollies Kessingland- Booking info soon!). Swing by and feel the quality for yourself. Finally, SoulPad are sponsoring the Home Festival in Mundford on Saturday 17th August, which is raising money for St Martins Housing Trust! Incidentally, our own Chief Combobulator will be making a musical appearance on the same day… |
