What makes a Shepherds Lodge?

Our Shepherds Lodge is, simply put, the largest Shepherd Hut that can be built and delivered in one piece. Instead of joining two huts together, like some other builders do, our build proves that you can have a full fit out and plenty of living room, with nearly 30 square metres of internal floor space. With the maximum amount of space available, you can now increase the functionality of your hut with a bigger bed, more storage, a better equipped kitchen, a more luxurious bathroom and a more spacious living area. You can also have more windows, allowing in more natural light.

Whether it's corrugated tin cladding or painted timber, a painted or wallpapered interior, solid oak or heated engineered floors, a fixed or traditional turning axle, French doors or single doors, single, double, bunk or wall beds and more, wood, coal or gas burners, windows of varying sizes, fold out or solid desks, bookshelves, wardrobes, built-in TVS, blinds, curtains, shutters, canopies and decks with hot tubs, the list really does go on. This is the future of Shepherd Huts! We designed the Shepherds Lodge as the ultimate hut that could truly be lived in permanently, and offer something fresh and different in the UK's growing glamping market.

Measuring in at 28ft x 11ft, the Shepherds Lodge is the largest possible shepherds hut that can be built in our workshop and delivered in one piece. It comprises of an open plan living space featuring in a fully kitted kitchen, lounge and a bedroom. The wood burning stove creates a partition that helps separate the bed from the living area without sacrificing the natural light.

There is a roomy ensuite with a walk-in shower measuring 1200mm, with ample storage. In addition to the wood burning stove, a choice of either underfloor heating or a built in fan heater make the hut convenient to live in all year round.

Whilst smaller Shepherd huts are ideal for short stays and weekend breaks, the Shepherds Lodge is comfortable for longer term and even full time occupation. This makes it ideal as a student annexe, guest suite or tenant lodging. And for holiday businesses, it could be the next big thing in glamping!
