Yesterday we bid a fond farewell to this 18ft Retreat style Shepherds Hut as it left our workshop. The hut was headed to Penny Farm in Newmarket as a quiet family retreat for enjoying the surrounding countryside.
The hut, clad in painted chalky blue feather edge, features a raised double bed, stove, kitchen unit and a single day bed which serves as a seat during the day, but at night features a pull out trundle bed, The three shuttered cottage bar windows let in plenty of natural light and the hut itself is powered by a solar panel which runs the interior and exterior lights.
Our transport team, headed by Lee Cutting from Olympic Plant Hire picked up the hut this morning on the back of his hi-ab lifting lorry. Although it was a windy, rainy day we managed to cross the muddy meadow without getting stuck (for too long) and safely reached the huts destination!
Chief Combobulator Wong. While the rest of the team gallivant and build Shepherds Huts, I sit here and combobulate.
